In order to migrate an OpenVZ container to PSBM or PCS, you need to take the following actions:

  1. Migrate the container folder to the destination:

    # rsync -avz /vz/private/111 root@ --numeric-ids
  2. Copy the file /etc/vz/conf/111.conf from the source node to the same location on the destination.

  3. Move the container data folder to the correct place:

    # mv /vz/tmp/111 /vz/private/
  4. Convert the configuration parameters inside /etc/vz/conf/111.conf:

    PHYSPAGES="0:262144" ->  PHYSPAGES="262144"
    SWAPPAGES="0:2621440" -> SWAPPAGES="2621440"
    DISKSPACE="2G:2.2G" -> DISKSPACE="2000000"
  5. Run ovzconvert without options

    # ovzconvert

    it will convert your container automatically.

  6. Start the container.
