Question

The Provider password was lost. Is it possible to change it from CLI?

Answer

You can use a special script /usr/sbin/hspc-config on OBAS server in order to change Provider password and/or login (which is usually an email address).

To change Provider password the following command should be used:

    # /usr/sbin/hspc-config --admin-email $CURRENT_EMAIL --admin-passwd $NEW_PASSWORD

where $CURRENT_EMAIL is the current Provider login and $NEW_PASSWORD is a new Provider password. Please make sure it is strong enough.

To change Provider login please use the following command:

    # /usr/sbin/hspc-config --admin-email $NEW_EMAIL --admin-passwd $CURRENT_PASSWORD

where $NEW_EMAIL is the new Provider login and $CURRENT_PASSWORD is a Provider password. It is recommended to use a valid e-mail for login to be able to use the feature 'Forgot your password?' which will send authorization code to the email address of Provider's account.

WARNING

When using hspc-config for changing Provider's credentials, please specify both --admin-email and --admin-passwd, even if only one of those parameters is to be changed. If any of them is omitted it will be generated anew, "root@hostname" for login and random password for password.
