  • Virtuozzo hypervisor 4.0 for Mac

Symptoms

After upgrading the host OS to Mac OS X Server to one of pre-release 10.6.5 beta builds (before 10H574) you may experience crashes of your Virtual Machines or the Parallels Server host itself.

Resolution

If you need to work on a pre-release 10.6.5 beta build, you can use the following workaround.

Go to the Virtual Machine menu and select Configuration -->  Hardware -->  Boot Order -->  Boot Flags and set the following line to Zero:

vm.mem_anonymous=0

Save the changes and start the virtual machine.

Important: This workaround should be applied to all VMs running on Mac OS X 10.6.5.
